Swift-fulfillment Cleansing | Offering Ritual of the Powerful Protective Deity of the Place and the Earth
Offered via Zoom & In-Person in Pittsburgh, PA

About the Teaching

In this weekend training, Tempa Lama will give explanations on how to conduct the Gar Dug Yul Se Sang Chod Ritual. Participants will also receive the transmission of the ritual practice.

We share this earth, the mountains, rocks, water, and forest all around us with many living beings and unseen spirits. Sometimes our actions offend and threaten these spirits. This can bring misfortune, illness, epidemics, and natural calamities for many generations.

The Gar Dug Yul Se Sang Chod ritual is conducted to please the powerful protective deity of our local area and of the Earth in general and to harmonize and heal our relations with the Yul Lha and the Earth.

Through the Gar Dug Yul Se Sang Chod ritual practice we cultivate harmony between ourselves and the Yul Lha (earth spirits), Tod (rock spirits), Nyen (forest spirits), and Lu (water spirits). Thereby, we bring prosperity, longevity, and happiness into our lives and the lives of our family, friends, and community.

What to Expect

  • Participants will learn about the Yul Lha earth spirit and about adversities caused by the Yul Lha if they are disturbed or offended
  • Participants will learn how to chant and perform the ritual
  • Participants will learn how to prepare for the ritual and how to set the altar for the Yul Lha
  • Participants will learn how to make the offering torma and prepare other offering materials.
